Main objectives: development of design, technological and operational documentation for fabrication of wagon-container
(packing set and carrier) for transportation of SNF/SAFA of SSE Chernobyl NPP and meet all applied requirements of normative documents on the
field of safety realization of nuclear energy.
Start of works - November 2006.
Completion of works - December 2007.
Expecting results: design of wagon-container for transportation of SNF/SAFA SSE Chernobyl NPP, developed, agreed and submitted according to
requirements specification and including design, technological and operational documentation, technical conditions, test program and methods.
Performer of component part of research engineering and developing activity (design of wagon for container, installation equipment, turning (tilting)
and container fastening, electric and hydraulic system for coming into operation container tilting from horizontal to vertical position and backward) is DB Transporter (Lugansk, Ukraine).
Performer of component part of research engineering and developing activity (design of packing set) is JSC Å koda JC.
Project design development based on requirements of approved specification dated Dec.26, 2006 in framework of first milestone implementation.
Purpose and field of application of designing product
Wagon-container will be used for transportation of SNF/SAFA RBMK-1000 of SSE Chernobyl NPP. During project design development of wagon-container for transportation of SNF/SAFA from energy units 1,2,3 and SFSNF-1 to SFSNF-2
considered main geometric structures of buildings, premises, constructions and equipment which are elements of technological line of SNF/SAFA transportation, including rail ways.
During implementation of this work were used prototypes of existing on ChNPP wagon-container TK-8 and VTUK TP4-3 manufactured in JSC Å koda JC for transportation of nuclear fuel from first to second energy unit of Ignalina NPP.
